I ain't seen the sky in so long
Washed in red and set on fire
Can't remember hearin' night fall
singin' like a Sunday choir

I been on the run for so long
Just another legend bein' born
Can't say where it is I'm goin'
Or where tonight I'll be lyin'

Takin' a trip down the cosmic highway
Catch a ride if your goin' my way
Hot white lights in my rearview mirror
Road ahead don't seem much clearer

But I'm flyin' like a meteor

Campfire smoke like a ghostly shroud
Under God's long distance nightfall
Lookin' out through endless starlight
Nothin' in this world is so small
